Marketing and Events Director for the Association of Independent Music (AIM)

AIM is the organisation that looks after some of the World's most successful and critically acclaimed independent record labels. Named in SheSaidSo’s Alternative Power List for 2017 and in Music Week's '30 Under 30' in 2014, Lara delivers AIM's year round programme of conferences, networking events and meetings designed to educate, empower and network those working in the independent sector.

In 2010 Lara introduced the AIM Independent Music Awards, designed to shine a much needed spotlight on the wealth of talent in independent music, an event which now attracts over 800 artists and professionals from across the Global independent sector with performances from Little Simz, Billy Bragg, Twin Atlantic, Daughter, Franz Ferdinand, Frank Turner, Alvvays and numerous others.

An active member of the global organisation Women in Music, Lara organises an annual Women in Music conference in London for AIM and works hard to champion the development of women in the industry.  Lara recently spent 3 months working in New York with sister organisation A2IM, developing an understanding of the US independent market.
