Team Assistant at BBC Introducing, Radio 1 and 1Xtra Youth Council member, DJ and Weekend Editor at Mixmag

My name is Jaguar and I'm a DJ and radio presenter based in London currently working for BBC Introducing and Mixmag. I started DJing when I went to uni in Leeds three years ago. I had a show on Leeds Student Radio which got me an internship with BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra which was fundamental to my musical growth. I was working with my heroes Annie Mac and B.Traits, which inspired me to want to become a DJ and broadcaster. Also, in November I won 2 Student Radio Awards for Gold Best Specialist Music Show 2016 and Silver Best Female, which I'm pretty proud of! On my LSR show I featured and interviewed many local artists such as Denmarc Creary, Weezy Jefferson and Lucy Whittaker, and I also ran my own live music event, #Selected, at Hifi Club. I love to DJ all things electronic, and normally play a mix of house, techno and bass in my sets around Leeds clubs such as CHUNK, Beaverworks, MiNT, Templeworks, Stylus and XOYO in London.
